That is, it acts like a liquid when being poured, but like a solid when a force is acting on it. You can grab it and then it will ooze out of your hands.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Oobleck gets its name from the Dr. Seuss book\u00a0<em>Bartholomew and the Oobleck<\/em>\u00a0where a gooey green substance, Oobleck, fell from the sky and wreaked havoc in the kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">J ~ JUMPY <span style=\"color: #666699;\">Poppin Rockets! Science with baking soda &amp; vinegar!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #666699;\"> We created a chemical reaction in a film canister! The vinegar reacts with the baking soda and produces carbon dioxide gas. Pressure builds up until the small canister can no longer contain the gas.
