Thank-you to all of our parent volunteers and to our amazing student hikers for a great day out at Belcarra today! We hiked 3.6km round trip to Admiralty Point, where we enjoyed a rest on a typical British Columbia beach. Along the way, we studied the temperate rainforest and made connections to our Social Studies learning about local First Nations groups. We learned about nurse logs and the story of the mice hiding in the Douglas Fir cones. Ask your children to share the story with you. What a great day of learning about our beautiful British Columbia Coast!
