This week I am giving you a project using Found Sound Primary.  It is optional, but I hope a lot of you will do it and send your work to me at faith.veikle@burnabyschools.ca

I hope that you have all sung Thank You to Medical Workers and Thank You to Food Workerswith Mo Willems (the author of Elephant and Piggie and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus).
This week we are singing Thank You to Scientists. We are thanking them for all their work in finding ways for people to be healthier and finding ways for us to act so that we don’t make more people sick (eg. keeping our social bubbles small and social distancing to flatten the curve, ). The solo at the end this time is on a trumpet. Make a trumpet with Mo. You will need scissors, a felt pen and paper.

For full episodes of Thank You Thursday! with Mo Willems, go to the Links/Resource tab. Tune in every Thursday in May to the Kennedy Centre website (any time after 10 a.m.)  to see who Mo will thank each week.

At our Zoom music class, we used a heart sheet and a picture of sally go round the sun.  Here is a copy of them for you to print and use if you would like to.

It was lovely to see so many of you in our Zoom class last week.  I look forward to seeing you again this week.

Last week you sang Thank you Medical Workers with Mo Willems (the author of Elephant and Piggie and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus). This week take a look at  Thank You to Food Workers. Can you think who are the food workers? Farmers who grow the food, delivery workers who get the food from the farms to the grocery stores or restaurants, restaurants workers, grocery store workers, etc… Can you think of any more?

This week the solo at the end is on a guitar. Make a guitar with Mo. You will need scissors, a felt pen and paper.

For the full episode of Thank You Thursday! with Mo Willems, go to the Links/Resource tab. Tune in every Thursday in May to the Kennedy Centre website (any time after 10 a.m.)  to see who Mo will thank each week.

Hello everyone,  I hope to see many of you in a Zoom music class this week.  An email invitation will be sent to your parents email.

I would like us to learn a new song, Johnny Works With One Hammer.

I know many of you love Elephant and Piggie books.  The author, Mo Willems,  has created a Thank You song.  You could sing it for the 7:00 cheer for frontline workers.  Draw your own piano and play along with him at the end!
