  1. Friday Letter to Ms. Toor<\/strong>: Read my letter and listen to the story “My Heart Fills with Happiness”<\/a> by Monique Gray Smith. Write a response back by taking a picture of your letter and post it on FreshGrade. Remember I am looking for you to practice sounding out words first on your own. A family member can help support by sounding out the words with you. If you have access to a dictionary practice looking up the words as well, similar to our word wall.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This week has been fun. I have enjoyed getting to connect with some of you over zoom!\u00a0 I have been up to organizing my day as our “group plan” is very different from what our normal day would look like. I spend way too much time sitting on the computer! Part of the job, but reminding myself to get up stretch and go for walks as often as I can. I decided to take a mindful moment during work and think about things that make me happy in “I guess my normal day” and that is reading to you. I never knew how much it meant to me until this week when I got to read to some of you over zoom and will today in our conference. Reading brings us connection, adventure and curiosity. I enjoy sharing stories with you and it brings our class together and starts up many of our discussions. It is so nice to read to you and I have missed doing that each day with you in the classroom.<\/p>\n
