Division 6 has some great designers! As part of both science and social studies this term, students have been learning about the water cycle and First Nations technology. We learned that First Nations people have expertise in using natural materials for making shelter and clothing. Inspired by their genius in creating cedar bark hats for the wet weather here on the west coast, we planned and designed rain hats with a variety of available materials. Enjoy the photos of some local fashion designers.
Hopefully all students have warm jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves and snow boots. Please send me a note in your child’s planner if you are in need of any winter accessories to make this fieldtrip more comfortable.
Students may bring in a peanut free treat to share during our afternoon party. Costumes are welcome for the afternoon as well. Please note that face masks and weapons are not permitted.
Please come in and see our window art in the classroom. We have picked up some autumn leaves and we have been framing some nice prints. The colours are amazing!
Thank you so much for your patience while I have been setting up for this year. I am so excited to get the Blog started. Looking forward to keeping you up to date here.
