Africa is home to 1.216 billion people. Africa is the second biggest continent in the world. I found this very surprising.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">I come from Africa and yet I am still in awe of it&#8217;s beauty. This beautiful continent has a variety of natural wildlife, most of it which can only be found on the continent. It is home to different cultures and traditions and is the #1 place to go to for an exclusive tour. Africa is filled with beautiful wild animals such as the African elephant, white rhinoceros, zebra, and giraffe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The original name of this continent was, Alkebulan, which means &#8220;mother of mankind&#8221; or &#8220;garden of Eden&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Africa day was made to celebrate the OAU (Organization of African Union) in 1963. On the 25th of May 1963, leaders from 32 African Nations converged in Ethiopia&#8217;s capital, Addis Ababa, to form the OAU.
