We Are One Grant

WE Are One encourages the use of technology as a powerful tool for social change. Use technology to imagine and develop ways to make your school and community more inclusive for everyone, made possible in partnership with Microsoft. Sign up now! Once you’ve completed the campaign with your group, fill out the WAO Campaign Impact Survey to be eligible to receive one of eight WE Are One grants.

This grant will benefit eight winners across North America who have:

  1. Identified an accessibility need in their local community
  2. Have been inspired by or followed the lead of a person with an inclusive need
  3. Have taken action on or have envisioned a solution using technology, and
  4. Have identified how winning the grant will allow them to leverage now or existing technology as their perfect solution.

Baking A Difference Award

WE Bake for Change helps give families the ingredients they need for a better future. Host a bake sale and help raise money to fight food insecurity in WE Villages’ partner communities, brought to you by Robin Hood. Sign up now! Once you’ve completed the campaign with your group, fill out the WE Bake for Change Impact Survey to be eligible to win the Baking a Difference Award.

This award will benefit 20 school groups across Canada who have:

  1. Identified the WE Villages Pillar/country of support
  2. Put together a WE Bake for Change action plan (such as a bake sale!)
  3. Take an action on the plan and,
  4. Are reporting back through the WE Bake for Change Impact Survey.

Prince’s Youth Service Award

Canada’s youth are changing the world. This incredible honour is given to those who have distinguished themselves by volunteering their time and creativity through active engagement in their communities and the world we live in. The recipient will receive a comprehensive award package including WE Day onstage opportunity, bursary to realize their idea, hand-carved award statue, invitation to Take Action Camp and unique network of fellow change-makers.
