National<\/b> Indigenous<\/b> Peoples<\/b> Day<\/b> takes place on June 21st of every year. The day commemorates and honours First Nations, Inuit, and M\u00e9tis People\u2019s cultures, histories, and contributions to Canada. June 21st was chosen because it is the longest day of the year and has long been celebrated by Indigenous Peoples.<\/p>\n
