The children were excited to take part in their first S.T.E.M./S.T.E.A.M challenge.
What does S.T.E.M. or S.T.E.A.M. stand for? It stands for a blend of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. S.T.E.A.M. challenges get children to practice all parts of their Core Competencies. It promotes innovative thinking and teamwork.
This week the children had to work in small groups and use their Core Competency skills to create a device that launches paper confetti into the air. It was amazing to hear and see their ideas. The children were very excited to share their group`s creation. At the end of the session, the children got to share their successes and challenges throughout the challenge.
