Air Canada or Air Awful?

When you travel, which airline carrier do you choose? Some of you may say Air Canada, as would I, especially since it’s our national carrier. But there have been allegations that have surfaced which are not so nice to hear.  In order to improve their customer service, apparently Air Canada forced their flight attendants to go through personal harassment and discrimination. Employees had to perform a model walk which they could only pass or fail on. (I know many of you would be able to complete a fantastic model walk, especially Paanini and Rohan!) You might be thinking, those aisles in an airplane are so narrow, why would they be needing to do that for? Well it does not end there! Apparently managers lined up flight attendants and critiqued their nails and makeup. In a formal complaint given to the Canadian Human Rights Commission, flight attendants “were subjected to degrading and discriminatory comments,” like “eyes were too small” and skin colour was “too white.”

The complaint also spoke about an updated handbook (a book for employees to reference for help / information) which gave extensive makeup advice for female employees. and advice on how to apply lipstick and how to emphasise their eyebrows. Air Canada has responded by saying that, “we have zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment.”

Image result for air canada uniform discrimination.

So now it’s your time to weigh in. Do you think that if these allegations are true, that Air Canada went too far in assessing its flight attendant’s appearances? Or is it their company and they should be able to give feedback on how they would like their employees to look like? Take a moment to think about a potential job that you would like to have in the future. Is there a dress code for this job? (For example, when I worked at Starbucks, I had to wear black – yes, Jhanine loves that lol. I could not wear nail polish or have my hair out. I also had to wear an apron.) Do you think that this is fair or you should be able to dress and wear whatever you would like? Or, perhaps you support something in-between? Be sure to respond to all of these questions in your detailed response of 15-20 sentences!

I think first of all, you SHOULD be able to dress whatever you want. there that like ” flight attendant dictators” who should say where Gray today or your flight is cancelled or plus 100000000 dollars ( i just spammed the 0s )because you wore green! just to where what ever you desire to wear. if the plane is gonna land on ice mountain then obviously you`l have to tell them to wear a giant puffy jacket. but other than that, you should not tell other people who are just like you ( human/people ) to where what YOU want them to where. If i had a future career, i would not choose yet. though many people say i`m homeless if you don`t choose anything. there are some people ( one ) who say i should be an actor. and there is two reasons why i don`t want to be an actor. the first is that when ever i act in front of people i just start to get really nervous. and the second, who will ever hire me? so thats why i`m still thinking of a job that will suit me.

Well I think that the flight attendants should be treated more better and not have been spoken to like that. I also fly air Canada as swell so I am quite shocked of this. I think that the flight attendants should just look normally the way they are. They should stand up for themselves and not listen. The flight attendants should not think about what the managers. Maybe it was just some managers not all. So some managers should just think about what they are doing . Also this might be completely false and the managers didn’t do anything at all. I also think that having a dress code is a good thing so you could dress more professionally but I do think that if it isn’t really a professional job then dress normally. But also it’s peoples appearance to so just stay the way you look. But there are some way worse airlines then Air Canada. United flight is really bad because there is poor service and some people have to squeeze their bags on the plane. So Air Canada is good. But maybe there IS some air lines that are better than Air Canada. But maybe what the managers are saying is a good thing because what if the people are super dirty and are smelling really bad. So maybe they’re doing a good thing by telling them that. But they should do it in a nice way if that’s the case.

First I usually take air China because we usually go to China for vacation. Now back onto topic I think that it should be true (Air Canada discriminating their employees.) But it could be not true but if it is true, Air Canada should fire their manager. My opinion is that Air Canada shouldn’t force their employees to be certain things (but obviously they have to be a certain height!)If I was one of their employees I would literally leave immediately and while I am leaving I would scream: YOU ARE THE WORST PEOPLE EVER! Now I obviously feel bad for the people that work at air Canada they will have to change their look and be screamed at by their manager. Now the worst part is this is CANADA! I mean can you believe it? Canada is discriminating against their own employees for their own airline! I still can’t believe that Canada is doing this and not USA. I guess the manager of air Canada is related to Donald Trump (not to be taken seriously). Now still I don’t get why air Canada is saying things like you are too short or your eyes are too small? I don’t know why small eyes affect that job? Guess what? It doesn’t affect being a flight attendant but still air Canada’s manager says no your eyes are too small. I just don’t get it. If air Canada doesn’t hire more employees and all air Canada’s employees leave because of discrimination, air Canada will go out of business and that is very bad for air Canada as its manager will be poor.

What I find intriguing is the fact that everyone screams “no more discrimination!” and people keep discriminating. Air Canada brought this on themselves. I am fine if there are dress codes that are like, formal, informal, tie, popped collar, and junk, but it gets weird once you get gender specific and strict. I can imagine the interviews. “Ms.person, everything is going fantastic, but, oh, you got the eyeliner off a little, and you look too white. Yeah, get out of here.” and then you throw the person out. Honestly, I can not see Air Canada, accidentally updating the employees’ manual to be very explicit on how their female attendants look like. Plus, a “model walk?” I wanted to go from here to there, not 1 hour of strutting legs. Their apology was not A+ either, it technically was not an apology at all. “we have zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment.” They did not admit they did something wrong, or said “sorry” unless I am missing some information, that is not too much of an apology. They are probably in their office, all like
    “What should we do?”
    “Apologise?”
    “No that won’t work”
They probably should have saw this coming. Do NOT mess with the public and people in general. I want to be an engineer or software developer in the future, so I do not think I need a strict dress code, since I will be in a warehouse or office. Unless there are meetings and presentations, then it would be new no-lint ties. Air Canada crossed the line with dress codes. That is some creepy customer service. What is surprising is that I feel bad for them! I do not know why, though. I just hope Air Canada will stop doing whatever this is.

  5. paanini1 says:

Well I think that you shouldn’t come in like with barely any clothes on because that will just be completely wrong. I think you shouldn’t go to over the top about eyebrows and makeup etc. but you shouldn’t be savage and yell because anyone I know would cringe away in disgust. Exactly why everyone has to have proper makeup and walk in such a sophisticated way is a huge mystery to me. Sure you shouldn’t be wearing a swim suit but you don’t have to have a discrimination for skin colour and eyebrows. If I were to get a job it would have certain dressing require me to have certain beliefs or certain eyebrows or colours because that’s just weird in a way that can’t be described easily but can be understood. Why can’t you be who you want to be (as long as it won’t be accepted like somethings not worth mentioning?) I don’t think that you should be banned from a job because you have a belief. Discriminating someone because of anything (accept probably being a savage) and guess what they be? Discriminatory, they just don’t care because who knows why. The worst thing is they don’t accept their mistake, they don’t care if they are being discriminatory, and they are just acting like they didn’t even do it is just stupid. Well I don`t think they should act like this. Air Canada are doing too many things that are wrong to do and they don’t accept it, I would never work with a company like that. If they want to change themselves at all they have to be honest, they have to first admit that they are doing something wrong if they want to change it otherwise. They are just going to be ignorant and be clueless about their actions. Well I think that covers why doing that is wrong and how they can fix things.

  6. jessie3 says:

First of all, i think that if you want to do your make up the way you like, then why do other people have to judge? i mean, yeah, their your boss, but seriously, if your job was judge people like their about to compete on Ms. Universe or something like that, then i would quit right away. but i am kind of in the middle, because you are obviously trying to get your flight attendants to look more put together or professional. because some flight attendants don’t wear heels but if you say they have to wear heels, then maybe they will fall or trip constantly while walking back and forth. then people will not think good things of this airline because their flight attendants are so clumsy and can’t walk down a aisle properly, what if they were carrying hot soup or something, and they tripped, spilling the HOT SOUP on a passenger? But, i think they should have some faith in the flight attendants that they can actually walk properly in heels. But also, if the flight attendants don’t look more pleasing, then people don’t want to buy more food or drinks on the flight because they don’t want a yeti giving them their food or drink every time they order something. (no offence) I guess i am sort of fine with them judging their make up and clothes, but don’t judge their skin colour or if they have small eyes. because then that is something called colourist. And Air Canada said they don’t tolerate harassment or discrimination, but here are the flight attendants filing a report on harassment and discrimination. I also think that that they don’t have to judge their flight attendants that harshly. But overall, i think they should help or suggest ideas to improve their make up skills or how to walk more professionally but they shouldn’t be that straight up. they should tell them in a nice way that they suck at walking in heels like “Maybe you should practice walking in heels so that you can get comfortable in them or get used to them” or something like that. 🙂

  7. marcus31 says:

I think all of this is true, but I think that it is very discriminate and air Canada went too far. To be honest though I think that it would be okay to do it if they lowered it down a little. Just giving those tips to help their flight attendants and some very limited work on that because it really wouldn’t matter. I mean, I wouldn’t care if there was this really fat flight attendant that could barely fit through the isle I farted all over the place(maybe not) and swear 24/7(again I’m having a second second thought about that). But it really wouldn’t matter because as long as they can do their job then that would be approved. I think I would like to be an engineer or a race car driver when I grow up. As an engineer I think you would need to wear a long sleeve shirt with the company logo on it. It is also quite obvious that as an engineer you will get messy so I would think that you could wear any blank black pants. But a race car driver would be much more complicated, I would need to have all the car sponsors on my protected race suit. And you would need to design a helmet that looks nice and matches the painting on your car. Really all you need is to design the helmet. But then you need to go through much training that involves eating on a strict diet but that is only required to keep the car under control. But there are no facial regulations as the only people who do that are the drivers and they do that to themselves, for their own worries of looking nice. Although none of this is as bad as what air Canada has done to their clients. Now I will never ever go on air Canada or I will try my hardest not to go on their planes. I am really disgusted with what air Canada is done. I feel like they should not have permission to fly people on their plane until they apologise to their flight attendants. This would be the only way they could apologize to revert the damage that they have done.

  8. Benjamin says:

Even an airport has these problems? Discrimination is almost everywhere! This a very cruel and unattended way to train flight attendants. I go on Air Canada every time to travel, and this happens to affect us. I do not like this way of training a single bit. I would not be very eager to this this job if it had these kinds of rules, because you won’t feel like, well, you. Well you can’t either wear some very weird clothing and it is not very appropriate to wear bad clothing at a bad time, for example, wearing ripped clothes at a funeral (And you can only wear black at a funeral), that is called discrimination to the person who passed away. My vote is that you can’t have too strict rule nor having a very bad clothing choice in an occasion. Air Canada needs to apologise in a smarter way because this is a choice of being infamous or getting people’s trust back. Nobody should ever had these sinister ideas and these strict rules, I wish I could have a talk with this person who created this but I don’t have the power to. “we have zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment.”, I won’t ever think that this is true. i could be a merchant, and I don’t really think that it has a dress code, just not too messy.

  9. eric55 says:

I think that Air Canada went too far because the harassment and discrimination that they forced their flight attendants to go through was personal. Employees should be able to were what they want but they should assess their own appearances to make sure the company doesn’t lose money. Air Canada makes employees perform a model walk in which they could only pass or fail on, even though airplane aisles are so narrow, so that isn’t fair. Apparently, managers critiqued attendants nails and makeup. So, flight attendants “were subjected to degrading and discriminatory comments” in a formal complaint given to the Canadian Human Rights Commission, like “eyes were too small” and skin colour was “too white”. A potential job for me in the future is a movie director. There is no dress code for this job.

  10. brodie1 says:

Yes i agree i do think that what Air Canada did was horrible and rude, the flight attendants and the people applying for the job should not be harassed or receive discrimination. I think that the person who made the idea or the manager of Air Canada should be fired and replaced with a smarter person who doesn’t judge a person by the looks but by their personality. If i was working for them or applying a spot at Air Canada i would quit the job at Air Canada and join a new flight company. But i understand why they should at least tell them to wear a little more better looking clothes, the clothes don’t have to be to fancy but just nice not like a okay looking shirt with some food stains on it and ripped pants, maybe a uniform that’s a little fancy, but what do they expect them to wear Gucci Louie Vuitton expensive clothes.. If i was told that everyday i would be seriously angry like if i had to be told to wear a curtain outfit to go to school i would just be home schooled. And the other thing is why do they have to make the Females to look better why don’t they make the Males look better to like they already look good anyways. Another thing that i think is kind of dumb is that why do they need to paint there nails nobody’s just going to stare at their nails the whole plane ride, i understand if they have dirt and stuff in them but why paint them they can just clean them. Another thing related to the nail thing is that why judge them about their eyes or skin tone like what if they do have small eyes but they can see really well, and then they probably tell them they can see really well but they just ignore them and send them away. What makes me even more angrier is that they haven’t said an apologie, even if they just said sorry that would be better and then later on they could write a bigger apologie that just makes really angry. When i get back home i will tell my Mom and Dad and then we wont got to Air Canada again well, either way we still don’t go to Air Canada we barely got to Air Canada we mainly use Alaskan Airlines West Jet and other ones I forgot the name’s of. Those are the reasons why i don’t like Air Canada and my thoughts about Air Canada.

  11. rohan7 says:

so what i think those people should do is to just to not care what people look like all there doing is just judging people by what they look like they don’t know what there like inside and also when you put on nail polish and you go on air Canada you have to pack nail polish removal just so that they do not kick you off the flight especially when you really need to get to another country. and they also did the same thing with make up so that’s twice the work now you have to pack nail polish removal and make up removal so that you don’t get kicked from your flight i also bet if you pack both of those thing you get freaking arrested so all air Canada flyers never pack nail and also make up removal or you’ll Get ARRESTED!!! so let me get this straight if you fail your model walk then your fired from that job. also i don’t think that air Canada should be giving feed back to any one on there air plane if there beautiful don’t say anything and if there ugly then don’t say anything. and if i were a employee and if i and a passenger that panted her nails i wont say any thing but if i saw anyone else do it then i would definitely say something and if they were like”but this lady is wearing nail polish uhhhh” or ” this girls eyes are to small” i would probably just throw her off of the plane without a parachute so that she or he dosent say anything like that again. and also if i would of hear someone say that your to white, what if there was a white spirit bear on the plane then what would you do well you would probably be scared to death but besides that you be like your to white to go on this plane get off and never get back on also what if you really needed to go somewhere desperately. and the job i want when i get older is that i want to be a doctor ms panesar s probably thinking good luck ha ha but that is beside the point. i want to be a doctor so i could help people with serious problems not to judge people of what they look like and also i would not have a dress code so yeah and. and also i don’t think people should be judged even though they look different then me they should be the way we want to be treated okay. CLASS FINISHED! thanks for reading see ya.

In Air Canada, they only think about the costumers. Which is actually pretty normal. But in their case, something is just wrong. B3ecaus3e they only care about their costumers, they didn’t have time to listen to the workers. They checked their makeup, checked their nails and other things. Just for the costumers. In some way, that is pretty good, because they’re thinking about their costumers. They’re doing everything to make the costumers happy. Every airport would think about that, right? But Air Canada missed something to make the costumers more happy. They didn’t think about the workers. Could you just think about it for a little bit. Who’s the one who served the costumers. And of corse, the workers. If, they sacrificed the workers to serve the costumers, that is not right. Sure, they can still serve them surely. But, If you’re not happy, how are you suppose to make others happy? Imagine if the worker is just walking around and making a sad face, who would want that person to serve them? And imagine you are the worker and your boss just says, your makeup is too fake! Your eyes are too small, and you just made your skin too white!! What would you think, though. Would you still wanna work there? would you be in the mood to serve other people? No. So stay happy, that will make others happy, too.

I don’t know much about air Canada because I usually use Sichuan airlines to go to china… now on to the topic! First of all it depends on what kind of job you are at. If you a teacher then I mean not all teachers are supposed to be wearing the same thing. But if you are a flight attendant it will look better if you look all the same. I’m not saying what they are doing at air Canada is right it’s just they are getting too far. Like is their going to be a passenger like “oh I don’t want to be my flight attendant because your eyes are too small or your skin is too dark.” Who cares! I don’t know because much about air Canada but whatever. Well if my parents talk about using air Canada I’ll tell them NO! well I don’t know what job I’m gonna be in when I’m older so I’ll write about a teacher. I think a teacher shouldn’t have a uniform. But just don’t walk in the class like a gangster. Or wear too weird clothes.

  14. naomi19 says:

Air Canada is not the way I looked at it before. Air Canada is really having some conflicts. First of all this is terriblllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeee! When I came back from Africa I used air Canada to get to Canada obviously! and they actually had great service. Air Canada you’re runin thin on ice. Once people hear about this they won’t come anymore and bam you’re out of business so you better say somethin or else thing are gonna get nasty. Anyways so what is actually happening is the manager is discriminating his employees and saying stuff like you’re to short to do this and blah blah blah. When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian and be a dog specialist because they are my favorite animals. And veterinarians wear uniform.they mostly wear blue pink and green. And when I become a veterinarian I don’t want to be discriminated because of what I wear. If that happens I will go to a job where you can wear whatever you want and it won’t matter. One thing I know for sure is that the world needs to change. I was interviewing my dad about this topic and he says he has taken air Canada and they were actually very nice people that you could wish to come bake again. Well after this conflict I think I will call it Air Awful from now on unless they speak up or change the way they do things. To the good people out there I know what you’re going through and you don’t like it. Then maybe you could speak up be the next Martin Luther king jr. That is it for my blog post and I hope everyone who reads it will enjoy it! ( It finally worked ma. Panesar!)

wy dey do dis I nononono likee, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm im madd I actually thought air Canada was a good airport but GUES WAT SIKKKE! dey jus had to dey frackin line pushhers! I think that u should wear anythang u want to. its jus like free will but except that there’s a little catch in it. that u barely get to do it. but I do kind of understand why air Canada did that because if there where nudist’s…….. well yeah people would have to see the. *lyiam throws up and runs away* * lyiam comes back and continues typing*. t anyway yeah. like why would they say UM WAT WAS IT OH YEAHHHH “eyes are too small” OR “too white”. UGH * LYIAM THROWS COMPUTER AWAY*. like what happens if you where covered in make up and u sat down in a chair and gat up and the chair is just covered in makeup. or if u gat a paint tan like Donald trumpet * Donald trump just plays a trumpet* and sat in a chair gat up and de chair is covered in paint. I think air Canada went to far and should let them wear anything they want. but the discrimination was really rude how oh your too white and such and such. when they said that “we have zero tolerance for discrimination.” they LITERALLY told that, I’ve said this a million times but anyway. “your eyes are to small” and “your too white.”.

  16. isabella16 says:

I don’t get why air canada has to make the employees do a model walk and that they have to change their makeup. Also i don’t think that making their flight attendants change their looks is a good way for people to know about air canada because then people who don’t want to change their looks will quit or get fired and then other people and then there will be no people left that work there and then air canada will close. ( but i think it will take longer for it to close because of something ). I think that air canada employees should be able to wear their makeup how ever they want. Also why would they give them an instruction manual on how to put on makeup ??
It’s not like they can’t put makeup on?!?!? And when i go on air canada planes the flight attendant’s makeup looks completely fine. And why would they say “oh your eyes are too small” or “your skin is too white”. And same with the makeup, I mean IT’S JUST MAKEUP! Seriously what is the problem on having different makeup or small eyes or white skin?!?!?
    Bye people 😆😀😁

  17. bosco3 says:

Air Canada is doing the wrong thing. They shouldn’t be telling people what to wear. You know what i thought air Canada was the best but now screw that it’s the worst. The people that are wearing their clothes shouldn’t be getting force to wear what they want. Air Canada is also telling their staff oh your nail’s are to long cut them off now and their’s more but i’m to lazy to show you so go check your self if you want to. They are also making the women being you know……….so they can get more money from…….Guy’s. I mean you shouldn’t be doing those stupid thing’s. They were discrimination or harassment. They also said this “we have zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment.” I wanted to say this” OK but you just did”. Like what Ms Panesar said she could not wear nail polish or have her hair out when she was working at Starbucks. well Starbucks’s is doing way better than Air Canada. Well it did make sense when ms Panesar had to but her hair in a bun cuz some times your hair could fall in the drink that ms Panesar is making am i right. They should get a new Air Canada call air place. Just telling you ms Panesar i am doing this at night.

  18. kai23 says:

I wish everybody could wear whatever they want to wear. But there are times that uniforms are important. If a doctor or nurse didn’t wear a ‘uniform’ how would you know if they were a doctor or nurse and you need help? I think having a uniform is fine but I don’t think that you should be ‘punished’ for things you can’t control like the size of your eyes or the colour of your skin. These things have nothing to do with performing this job and is discriminatory. It’s also weird that they asked them to do a ‘model walk’ down an airplane aisle. This also has nothing to do with the job. Flight attendants are not models and model walking will not help improve customer service. When I’m on a plane I do not care about that. I care about where I’m going and how to get there comfortably. I also like to watch movies on the plane. If the flight attendant does not know how to work it and help me, a model walk isn’t going to help. What will help customer service is not losing people’s bags and treating people with respect at the check in counters and also being faster. And by the way for people out there, just be yourself.

  19. the amazing joshua says:

I added more stuff than last time.
I agree and also disagree to DA yes, DA clothing regulations for Air Canada. I agree to it because if the flight attendants look like well, a weirdo (more than what makes Jessie say eww) Air Canada might get different complains from flyers. I also think that they’re too freakin’ strict about the Clothing Regulation thing. I mean, who would line up Flight attendants and start criticizing them saying criticisms like: Ur too ugly, you are too black. Honestly I think its most of the females that are getting abused by the managers. If I were in the manager’s shoes, I would control the regulation by a lot to make everyone feel safe and happy. I have a few friends who work at the airport, so I feel bad to them. I also think that Air Canada is dumb to try and defend and not ADMIT that they made a mistake and apologise. Most of the company or people who made discriminatory comments or ads apologised BUT THEY DIDN’T. When I grow up I want to be a writer even though I suck at grammar. the Dress Code for writers is… No exposed shoulders, fisher person’s sandals and sequins are not worn together, No SPEEDOS, No topless stuff, and… wearing KILTSSSSSS instead of “dreaded jeans”!!! I might have changed my mind about being an Author. Oh! Instead I can wear formal clothing rather than weird looking clothes. Still Air Canada should change the clothing code to be less strict and apologise to the harmed plane attendants. Apparently, in Air Canada they also have dress codes for flyers too. Air Canada has been receiving a TON of complains so far too from customers all around the world. Thx 4 reading. Anyways, BYE!!!!!! P.S. we use more of Asiana Airlines than Canadian Airlines.

  20. annie25 says:

I feel both ways about this, I mean other company’s probably also tell their employees how to dress or how to do their makeup or how to walk it is perfectly normal. You can’t just walk down the aisle all wobbly tripping on a passenger’s foot, you wouldn’t get a good review. If you didn’t wear makeup you could have acne or pimples and the passenger might not be happy with that (not saying acne and pimples are bad). Sometimes the reason companies are doing this is because they want to make their passengers happy and hope they tell other people how great it is so they can come. They probably do this for better business. You wouldn’t want someone serving you with dirt all over her faces and dirty hands? If they didn’t have a dress code or a certain way to do your makeup or a certain way to walk you would get a bad review but if you did do all those things you would still a bad review so which one would you do? But I still think that telling someone that their eyes are too small or saying that they are to short or telling them that their eyebrows aren’t good and they have to fill it in is not acceptable at all. My questions are if they want employees that look good why don’t they only employ the ones that actually look decent? Also why would they want harass or discriminate their own employees, they know that their employees can just quit and report the company? Also if they weren’t stupid the wouldn’t even do it cause obviously someone would report them. But I do realize that they need more employees and not all of them are what they are looking for. But I do think that if they did not actually harass or discriminate them they would speak up already. I feel like if they did not already respond they are probably coming up with a realistic lie. I do not believe that all the Air Canada managers think this way just some of them. When I grow up I want to be a … I don’t know yet but I want a job with a dress code so I don’t have to spend like two hours of my morning picking what I want to wear. So that’s how I feel about this situation. I am kind of am on both sides because my brother does work at Air Canada, and he does not mention any of this. I am so asking him when he comes to visit B.C.

  21. tyra2 says:

In my opinion, I tik Air Canada wass way too picky about the flight attendants’ looks. I really don’t think they should care so much about the flight attendants’ looks. I know the dress code is important, but when the attendants were required to have bigger eyes because their eyes are “small,” then that is obviously way too far. I htik Air Canada should not care so much about the makeup, the skin color, or how they walk because there is nothing wrong with that. When you ask people to change their appearance, they take it as an insult. They might think, ” THEY HATE MEEEE! NOOOOO” or, “THEY DON’T WANT TO HIRE MEEEEE!!!!” If I was the boss of Air Canada, I would say that the flight attendants have to wear according to the dress code, but is allowed to either wear or not wear makeup.

In the future, I would want to be an engineer because I get to build anything and connect it to the computer. It would be super cool if I can build a robot and connect it to my computer. Or, I could make something useful like a machine that can get me… stuff. Besides, I DON’T NEED TO WEAR MAKEUP!!!!! I get to wear whatever I want and not stress out about my clothes (i don’t usually get all tense when it comes to clothes, but in the future I might! XD).

  22. the amazing joshua says:

I am sooo sorry Ms. Panesar but I sadly have more things to add you know how Air Canada’s defence is : We have zero tolerance of discrimination and harassment right? Well they also were the ones doing it. comments like: “you are too white” or “U are too FAT” is in fact DISCRIMINATORY comments against the employees. So it is technically like you eating a TUB of VANLLA ICECREAM in front of your mom and telling her it was your dog, Bob, but even though you don’t have a dog named Bob. JUST GOSH DARN APOLOGISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it’s fine with you Ms. Panesar, I’m going to redo my comment. So I believe Air Canada didn’t need to change their flight attendants for their customers because all the want is to have a nice and safe trip to their destination. For another reason, they didn’t also need a handbook to show what the flight attendants needed to do. If Air Canada did stop their changes to their flight attendants, it will be a waste of paper. Actually, if Air Canada also changed their flight attendants because of the comments of the customers, I would say there’s no reason to comment other people by their looks, that’s pretty much being racist. And it is likely that they would comment on women more than men. As for a different reason, they also didn’t need to make them model walk through the plane. I’m sure they should have pretty much fail on the performing so they didn’t need to model walk. (Hmm, I wonder what the male flight attendants had to do) As I was saying, I don’t think Air Canada was being truthful when they said they had “zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment”. I’m sorry I’m not able to finish this though.

Wow i just don`t get this. a problem after another always happens again! there was something that was quite sexist to me (if the female flight attendants wear makeup and other things what about the men?
this just do not make any sense at all you know like what are the men flight attendants going to wear or something? I still get confused of this sentence “zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment”
what does this mean to me? i don`t get it at all. Also tiny eyes, too white is a problem? oh don`t even try to mention it that is nothing to worry about in a flight. It`s just a simple Flight you know.
The part when the managers line the attendants up and critiqued all of the female attendants which is a bit unfair to me right now reminds me of sexism again god… anyways moving on, i`d rather actually say that Air Korea is a 100% better than Air Canada legit it is, better service and more room.(I`m lucky I always get First class in Air Korea HeHeHeHeHe). so about saying that, Ur too white is racist including the person who said that as well. Another one is : who needs a freaking model fit size way to your seat to be that small? /nobody likes or can get through when there`s a big traffic jam in there while exiting or boarding the god dang Air Awkward

(Didn`t really have time to do this though finished it at 11 pm).
