Once again, we were reminded about the impact that our words and actions have on our peers and those close to us. Though it was based off of some accurate depictions of bullying, the film, Wonder, was deeply inspiring and moving. You may have even been able to relate to little Auggie Pullman. This film demonstrated quite clearly that bullying impacts not only the victim, but his/her/their family as well.

When I watched the movie Wonder, I thought Auggie looked normal apart from a few scars. I find it sad that people are putting him down because of that. Not only that, but there was SUICIDE messages given to Auggie and that is the lowest of the low. It is not only talking about him. There is not talking to him. People take a gander and it is goodbye to them apparently. Not all of them, though. There were still people who liked him and defended him. They were kind, not right, as what the teacher talked about in the beginning of class. Auggie was also talked about behind his back. “he is just following me around now.” as one of the quotes. I have always wondered the kind of justification for constantly insulting the victims. They do not know they are probably hurting the family and friends around them. If they were bullied, I could just imagine the hypocritical thinking that comes with it. Maybe people are nicer if they are the ones hurt, because they can relate. (not that I am saying everyone should bully each other) Bullying can take any form. Cyber bullying, physical bullying (shoves, punches, etc.), insults, notes, and more. What I am saying is that you should not put someone for something that is different about them. You are not superior or inferior.
bullying have many kine. You didn’t said mean word doesn’t mean you didn’t hurt someone. In the move, the people look Auggie like he is a monster. That is a kine of bullying, because you hurt someone that you don’t need to hurt.
The thing that struck me most was that Auggie didn’t even look that bad, just a little “unusual” and people still bullied him which is very mean. I never thought that people can be that mean but in the world, some people are pure evil. Some of the forms of bullying that I saw in “Wonder” was that Julian (The school bully) kept on telling people to bully him and ask Auggie rude questions that aren’t supposed to be asked like: “Why do you look like that?” “Do you eat any special foods?” And things like that like rude comments like Your’re a freak! Which is very mean and offensive and something that you should never say. Now I think that we have a pink shirt day for anti-bullying and friendship day, as everybody says “every day should be a pink shirt day.” On to some more thoughts (final). I think that it is very unfair that people would team up on other people to make them feel bad and make them feel left out. Although we all want to forget about the bullying that happens everywhere around the world, it is still okay to be reminded once or twice in a week that bullying is not okay and you should probably stop bullying if you are a bully (definitely stop bullying if you are a bully!). You should always be kind, since there is no limit in being kind, you should never stop being kind! And usually if you are kind to someone, they will usually be kind to you! (Usually, not always.) Friendship is a good thing, so you should definitely get a friend! You know why you get bullied? It is usually the people that are friendless that will get bullied, so if you don’t want to get bullied get a lot of friends! Even if you still get bullied, you and your friends can stand up to that bully and stay STOP!
In my opinion the movie Wonder was really good and emotional at times it actually taught me things i never even knew. It really showed me what people think of people they judge people by their looks even if they can do everything a person can they just look different and yet they still judge them. In the Movie wonder there’s this Nice kind wonderful family with two children there names are Auggie and Via, When Auggie was born something happens sadly and he had to get twenty-seven stitches. Later on Auggie was home schooled then his parents made him go to school when he went to school everyone judged him and made fun of his face then this guy named Julian Adams bullied him and made fun of how he eats and embarrassed him in front of all the other kids then, everyone starting copying Julian. Then Auggie took in all the hate he cut off his special braid and got a little physical. But it wasn’t just Auggie that was upset his sister Via was getting a little hate to, her friend Meaghan was starting to be mean to her not talking to her and ignoring her. Then she met this guy named Justin which sooned turned into her boyfriend , then Meaghan and Via became friends again.Then later on Auggies friend Jack stood up for him and this girl named Summer and other kinds stood up to Julian and later on Julian got expelled. What i learned from the movie is to not judge a person by there looks and even if you have a smirk on your face or your backing away from them it’s still mean, because they can tell what your doing. Honestly i think Auggie looks totally normal he can eat play talk and can do everything a human can do, after watching the movie i feel completely different when i see people i think they’re just gonna judge you by your looks. This movie really taught me a valuable lesson well it taught everyone a lesson like i do this sometimes and i don’t even know its offending someone, now i know never to do something that will offend someone and to stand up to bullying.
My thoughts on the film was that is was explained how other kids that think that are not “normal” in other people eyes and how how it actually effects themselves and how that they start to become self conscious about themselves though they shouldn’t. like in the film, Auggie on his first day in middle school it shows how other people think of him. like it shows by before Auggie appeared everything was lively. and when he appeared everyone became silent and gave him a path because everyone wanted to avoid him. this happens in the real world to if you did not to. i have seen it happen before and how other people react when they saw him. some parts of the film that really got my attention. was when Auggie heard his friend ( i forgot his name ) say that he only his friend because he was forced to. this struck me real hard because he acted that he really enjoined his company. later on I found out that he really wanted Auggie to be his friend. and this was shown he another person ( i forgot his name to ) was making fun of Auggie and the Auggie`s ex friend stuck up for him. the types of bullying that I saw was discrimination, evil notes and more that i can`t think of. and lastly, i think having pink shirt day is a great day because it promotes none bullying and benefits none ” normal” people to not think of themselves in a bad way. but in a special way.
People are known to experience bullying. Wonder is an example of bullying, August Pullman is a person who experienced this bullying due to his face. He had a cleft palate and several other disorders. So the other people bullied him due to the one gene that caused all the disorders on his face. His family had comforted him and tried to make him feel better. His best friend jack tried to help him as well but he once was mean to him but he apologized later. His sister Olivia had to go through so much to try to help him. I was really disgusted by how other people were bullying him just because of the single malfunction of one of his genes. I really like how a lot of people such as Jack and summer really understood him, I mean they could see through is appearance and focus on his personality, which is at least to me not difficult. Alas bullying is unfortunately a common thing and we need to change that. Somebody just really needs to tell that to Julian. Julian is one of the kids that bullied August. Julian said he had a melted face and reminded him of Darth Sidious. Later in the movie he got punished and then something got into my mind. The parents seemed to have been protecting Julian even if he did the wrong thing. It seemed to me that the parents spoiled Julian because I could see their attitude, I didn’t like it. The thing that really disgusts me that Julian was not alone, at first practically everyone was against him, a sign of bullying. Rude notes would also have been given, saying mean things like “no freaks allowed”. I really couldn’t understand why at first almost everyone was bullying him. I can’t really relate to it that well but it isn’t that everyone is nice to me. I have been teased several times and I hate it. I don’t really get teased anymore which I am glad with, but still no one in the universe deserves to get bullied no matter how he looks or whatever.
In this film there is a boy named Auggie and he has been home schooled all of his life and now he had to go to middle school for the first time of his life. When he went to school there were three kids that were supposed to show him around the school and the kids felt uncomfortable and Auggie said ” they always stare at me the same way and do the same things.” So after that the kids were looking around until one kid said ” were you in a car crash or did you fall in fire?” Luckily The to other kids with him told him to stop. Then the next day at school Auggie’s teacher told the students to say something special about something. Then it was Auggie’s turn and he said he liked star wars and the kid that was mean to him last time said ‘ who is your favourite character us it Darth sidious” And Auggie said that bobofet was his favourite character. So at the end of the school day the mean boy and his friend said to Auggie ‘by Darth sidious I mean barf sidious”. Then he met a boy named Jack but people call him Jack will. So that was a little bit about the move. The emotions of Auggie were sad and down wright. His sister Via couldn’t tell her boyfriend that she had a brother because it was hard on her and she was embarrassed and scared of what he would think. His parents were always asking Auggie questions about school and they were to worried to leave him alone. The saddest part in this movie was when his dog Daisy passed away. Auggie said ” She has always been there for me and now she’s gone”. I think the message of the story is to always think before you say something because what if you were Auggie and people said those things to you would you like it if someone did it to you. And one more thing don’t be a bystander go and help the person. Be like Summer, Jack will, and Amos. well don’t be like Amos in the beginning be like him when he was fighting those seventh graders. Be like summer and go sit with him and comfort him and don’t care about what other people think. Be like Jack will don’t talk behind someones back you have to be a friend.
I think that this film is really special. Auggie feels though he is different. He is. But in a good way. His parents tell him he has to go to school . He feels super worried. On his first day of school it wasn’t the best. He couldn’t find any friends and everyone was scared of him. He was depressed but he didn’t want to talk about it with his parents. The next day there was a bullying him and he definitely wasn’t being nice. Finally he finds a friend. They spend a lot of time with him. He finally feels really good about about himself and not stressing over the way he looks. But on Halloween something bad happened. First thing he was super happy about this day because nobody could see him and judge him all they want. But then his best friend said something rude to him. He said something like this, “That costume looks so ugly I would kill myself if I were him,”. So then now he felt so bad. Probably the worst Halloween for him, since he likes the holiday so much. The next day he feels bad that he has no friends now. But there is a nice girl who tries to be his friend. Auggie thinks it’s the only chance he will have. but then the girl tells his ‘ex’ best friend that he did something wrong. He then realises that what he said was on Halloween. Auggie plays a game. He sees that his friend is there. So he apologises for what he has done. Auggie forgives him. So now they are best friends again. Now he is happy and has a friend. So don’t bully anything and don’t “fake” being friends with someone. Be positive if someone is different and show them around the school if they are new. Don’t bully !
I think the movie “Wonder” was great because it is based on the true story of Pink Shirt Day. This film demonstrated that bullying can affect not only the victim, but their family as well. The moments that struck me the most was when Auggie was at the school’s Halloween party. His friend said a bad comment that was about “Barth Hideous”, but Auggie heard it. I think it is beneficial to have a Pink Shirt Day in school because being mean is bad and being nice is good. Everyone should just stop being mean to everyone else, and just become nice friends.

The movie was sad ; not only Auggie was the one that had problems because of bullying. His Mother, Father, and sister was effected by the bullying he received at school. Auggie received bullying in forms of letters, words, and avoiding. His sister gets hurt by her friend because her friend thought she was better than her. Via suffers because she also has problems and her parents support Auggie more because he is younger. I never had to deal with that sort of stuff because I am the only child so far. Sometimes, wish I had a sibling. The bullying (for Auggie) was mostly from a kid named Julian. I have a connection to this because in 1, 2, and 3rd grade, there was a girl named Amy and she bullied me constantly. This reminds me of Black History Month presentations, and how we learned that black people got discriminated just because of stereotypes people spread. The definition of “normal” doesn’t matter to appearance; it matters to your general character. After all, Auggie is like a normal boy with a big brain. Via tries to help Auggie feel better by going Trick-or-treating with Auggie, and I found that it was sweet. Auggie even got singled out by students in dodge ball. Today I will talk about August Pullman. I am first going to talk about Auggie. Auggie is being bullied at school. The reason that this happens is because he doesn’t exactly look like….. a “normal” kid. A normal kid is someone that will not be stared at wherever they go. At least that is what Auggie thinks. But i think that if you have a kind heart and and you treat people well, then who gives a damn what you look like? Auggie gets bullied on the first day so he never wants to go to school ever again. But, out of all the darkness and sad, he actually makes a friend named Jack even though everybody calls him Jack Will. Everyday Auggie comes home sad because of all the bullying. Now i am going to talk a little about his sister Via. Via is Auggies older sister. She goes to high school. After summer and when she starts school again, her best friend changes after summer camp and doesn’t want to hang out with her anymore. Via also is not really cared for at home because her parents always have to take care of Auggie when he gets bullied. Via thinks it is unfair because she also has bad days at school. One day that Auggie comes home crying, Via goes to his room and talks to him. then the topic about bad days comes and Via says “everyone has bad days.” Suddenly, Auggie bursts out and yells at her” You don’t know what a bad day is like. People don’t look at you weirdly and people don’t whisper about you behind your back. so don’t compare your bad days to mine, OK?!” I think that this so sad. i almost cried because of all the things that happen to him and he knows it. Now i will talk about Jack Will. Jack Will started to be friends with Auggie because his mother told him to. Also, Jack Will was friends with before he met Auggie. But after Jack gets to know Auggie, he says that he actually wants to be friends with Auggie because he is a really great friend. I think is really great but there are still those mean bullies that i have not talked about. Now i will talk about Julian. He is the mean kid in the movie. Julian is mean to Auggie not by saying things like your ugly, or you look weird. He bullies him by writing mean notes and telling that he eats like a prehistoric swamp turtle . One day when Jack Will was looking for a spot, Julian told him to sit with him and his friends. But Jack Will just ignores them and go sits with Auggie. Auggie tells him what Julian said about him and Jack Will and then Jack starts eating very weirdly and says that he is more like a swamp turtle. Then one day, Auggie sees Julian and his friends crowded around his locker. Then when they see him, they run away. Auggie sees a class photo but he was photo shopped out of the photo. I think that we need to have Pink Shirt Day things to educate kids about bullying. But it is not just about not saying mean things about other people but it is a deeper thought. It actually effects not just the victims. It affects also their family.
I think wonder was a great movie. auggie’s parents encourage auggie to go to school. auggie’s sister feel’s sorry for auggie. jack and auggie is doing everything together. Julian thought Jack and auggie were going to fail science. Julian called auggie darth hideous. Jack was talking about how was following and how annoying it was. auggie feel’s petrified because he’s going to middle school to the first time. one thing I liked about the movie is that more people at school want to hang out with Auggie and sit with him at lunch, and that more people want to be his friend.
I almost lost it while watching the film”Wonder”. it showed me not to bully other people like if it`s fun.
if really didn’t think about that before even doing that. there was this moment that made me go rage in my mind when Auggie was getting bullied by Julian or whatever his name is. bulling could be a example of doing a war with each other, but the other person has more power and strength to knock you out or K.O you. If i be honest that (Wonder) movie should resemble pink day and cause death to bullying. Having pink day could be the most worst day in school for bullies, but even if it`s pink day most people that think they are cool dont wear pink. because of the colour that effects them and how their friends judge them. Also i saw Auggie`s sister Via she had the same life like Auggie at school and how her best friend started to bully her. That doesn’t really need to exist in this world. I dont know how bullying even existed and how it effected other people`s mind that that would hurt them and cause them to be depressed. lastly pink day saved the victims and destroyed the bullies. All i want is the bully to die.
Wonder really was a really shocking story for me. This story is just so unfortunate for what Auggie went through. Imagine going to school after being home schooled and then the kid who is guiding you through the school points at a pencil and says” you know what a pencil is. Cause your kind of. you know. weird?” if that was me I would totally feel really embarrassed and angry. and then when you’re in the school kids are looking at you and saying” don’t touch him or you will get the ‘plague’,” and when someone does touch you everybody starts teasing them, it’s almost like you do have a plague, a plague of teasing. But when people start to not care about what other people say that is when you find a good friend. When jack said “at first I was only friends with him because my mom told me too. but now if you ask me. Who I would hang out with. it would be Auggie, “I was crying because that was just so amazing that Auggie who was the lone kid at the last table, came to be a kid who was quite popular because he was different. he also really funny and smart. the most of the sad moments for me were the start. i wasn’t ready to endure those great emotions. but i really did like this movie. sorry it was cut off 🙁
It was very sad to see it almost made me cry. The part that struck me the most was the play Auggie’s sister was in and the words how sad they were. Auggie was bulled because of his looks but looks don’t madder but what does madder is friendship . It is a good idea to have pink day because friendship is impotent.
Bullying. There is a group of people use many ways to make one target feel they are no ordinary one, which is never okay. And the opposite, being kind. Which is a group of FRIENDS that will always stand up and fight for you. The target in the movie Wonder is the main character Auggie, he known he isn’t anordinary kid by his looks. When he was walking around in the hallways, people stare at him, people make space between them. If that’s not even enough, people started to make fun at him, and bully him. And who made him a target? Julian. He leaded a group of his friends made Auggie the target. What did Julian do to him? Yes, they made fun of his looks, made jokes of his odd looking face in public, and they even made rumours about him. At the first time Julian laid his eyes on Auggie, he already decided, he already started to ask offensive questions, and even started giving rude comments. You think that was it? No, that is just the beginning of the story. On the first day of school, Julian started to give Auggie new nicknames, and fool around him. And sadly, no one stepped forward for him. The first time a kid named Jack who seem he wanted to help Auggie. They were being “good” until Halloween. Because no one recognised Auggie in his costume, Jack spilled the truth. He was being nice to Auggie just because his mom told him to be nice to people. But at the end him and Summer became his friends and everything turned out to be a happily ever after. The moment that Jack said He was faking to be Auggie’s friend, my heart sank. Jack was Auggie’s only hope and now Jack said he was only faking it? How could he do such thing? But latter seeing Jack being nice again, I felt so proud. Lastly, In my eyes, bullying is never fine, and everybody should always be nice to each other.
On Wonder it showed little Auggie Pullman get bullied by a kid named Julian but why would he do that?!? i mean if he had a face like would like it if someone bullied him? Anyway Auggie kept on being bullied but Jack also known as Jack Will would try to get people to stop bullying him. But i guess they weren’t good friend’s because on Halloween Auggie went as ghost-face and then he went to science class and saw Jack telling Julian and his friends mean things about him and they even said if they had a face like Auggie’s they would kill themselves. Poor Auggie he has to deal with bullying every day at his school at least at the end of the movie people finally realised that it doesn’t matter so Auggie made new friends! 😀 😉 i think that the movie tries to teach everyone to please don’t bully people because it shows how bullying didn’t just affect Auggie it also affected his sister and his mom and dad his sister Via was left alone just because of her brother’s face and Auggie’s mom and dad were called sometimes because Auggie was hurt by Julian or the other bullies and even if Julian stopped bullying Auggie other people would bully him because Julian wanted everyone to think his face was weird so kept telling everyone to ask him rude questions or bully him. and even when Julian goes to the principal’s office with his parents and the principal shows his parents the notes he wrote and what he has done to Auggie Julian’s mom didn’t care she was like “so what if some kid gets mean notes.” 🙁 Julian is probably just a spoiled bully he thinks it is ok to bully someone just because he has never been bullied and Jack, i thought he was nice but then he was mean to Auggie without noticing Auggie was right there and Summer was nice to Auggie after Jack was mean to Auggie summer kept helping Auggie and tried to get people to stop bullying him too. Also Wonder shows how his sister Via was affected. Via on her first day of school she saw her best friend Miranda and saw she had pink hair and she had new friends she also found out that Miranda returned from her camp 2 weeks before school and didn’t call her, then Miranda starts avoiding Via until she sees what a good friend she is and calls Auggie to ask about her
And last i think it is wrong to bully people because of their looks. S i think pink shirt day is a very good day because it is about anti-bullying and i think it helps by making people stop bullying and respect people the only thing that makes me sad is how Auggie was treated like in most of the movie because he didn’t deserve to be treated like that :(. here are some things that happened in the movie wonder first I’m going to be talking about the thing that happened besides the bullying so let’s get started. So the first thing that happened was that there is this kid named Jackson up his nick name is Jackie and Jackie and also this other girl i can’t remember the of her and also Jackie were standing up for him because there is this kid named Julian witch is the bully that you guys know and in the beginning he wasn’t that much of a bully but he said mean things like, “what happened to your face did you get into a crash or something or like a fire?” And of course that wasn’t his exact words but you get the point, and I think that wasn’t really nice because he was judging August for what his face looked like and plus he started to assume random things about him. Now onto another thing that happened in the movie was that Julian actually did something nice instead of bullying him he asked what his favourite character in Star Wars was and of course as you guys know he said chewbakka can we get a round of applause for Julian please, but any ways I think that was really nice of Julian to ask him that why because that’s the only nice thing he said in this movie. And also the other good thing that happened was that Jackie ditched hi friends which were Julian and also this other dude to sit with August because he saw that he was really said because of what people thought of him as a beast ecspecially Julian and also they started to play with there food. And then there was a scene when August would not talk to Jackie because he did something really mean I’m not going to tell you now I’ll tell you later when I get to it okay so chillllllll, but that’s beside the point so Jackie went to julian and this other dude and then there was this other girl who I don’t know her name but it wasn’t the girl I was talking about earlier it’s a different girl, but anyways she saw that Jackie left so he turned sad again which is not good. And then the girl left the table that she was sitting at then went to go sit with August and then the girls at the table asked where are you going she said I think, “over there” and then she left and then she sat down then was about to shake his hand and then he said, “ you’ll get the pledge I don’t care” then August said “are you sure” then she said “yeah” then they shook hands so and then the kids just say she has the pledge and I think it was extremely nice of her to do that. Now I’m going to talk about what happened when Jackie apoligized. So the way Jackie apologized was a weird way you won’t believe it HE APOLOGIZED TO AUGUST ON MINCRAFT!!!! can you believe he apoligized on minecraft he literally went on a huge pirate ship and then he apoligized way to go ten out of ten but at the same time that was a pretty creative way of apoligizing and here is one for via this is when there is this guy named Justin witch is vias boyfreind he tried to cheer her up by telling her stuff that happened to him witch was super genorouse of him because you know that he doesn’t care just about himself he cares about other people also. And know I’m going to be talking about what happened in the bullying part so let’s go. So what happened was in the bullying part was that the bell rang for all the children to leave school and then Julian followed him and these two other kids with him they started to call him names really bad names I would tell you the names but I don’t remember the names that Julian and the.other dudes called him I have short memory so that was not very nice at all can you imagine you getting out of school on like the third day of school and people already making fun of what you look like and it was on the third day. And there was a part when people were also throwing dodge balls at him when it was pe can you imagine you as the only person standing on one side and you getting shot at dodge balls. And then there was another one but this time it was actually Jackie who did the bullying this time and also this one is the one every body loved it’s when Jackie punched Julian in the face and then Julian attacked Jackie and so on I don’t really get why Jackie actually punched Julian in the face in think it was because Jackie has anger issues that’s proabably why . And then this one was when Jackie said to the group that he was in the halloween scene it’s when he said “if we’re him I would kill my self” can you believe that Jackie August’s best friend said that if I looked like that I would kill my self can you believe that and you know what the bad thing is it’s that August was in such a good mood also before the scene where it showed the scene he was getting high fived by people and also he was high giving them and then he walks in the room and then here’s “if I were him i would kill myself.” And that’s all I’m going to say because I have wrote a lot and my hand are killing me so bye thanks for looking byeeee
I think wonder was a really good movie and it has a good influence to both kind of people in the character of via, auggie, jack, Julian, and summer. If someone in Auggie’s place they would know that they are not the only one and to ignore the bad and to find good friends because if someone is bad then it will take a long time to fix. Julian was asking what was wrong with Auggie’s face when he knew that auggie had a disease. And Julian’s “squad” made fun of Auggie’s braid and so Auggie cut it off!!!!!!!!!!!!! Julian also sad that auggie eats like a monster.Every body aiming to throw at you in dodge ball! I think if someone is in the character of Olivia they must have a very sad and I guess embarrassing life because they have a relative that is being mistreated and bullied and they must feel bad for them. But they can still feel bad for them and be nice to them since they are already facing bad things and if you be even meaner to them it is just adding problems to them. Like Olivia did when she was nice to auggie even when she was being ignored by her best friend Miranda. I guess via was very afraid that Justin would ignore her if she told him that she had auggie as a brother. Jack will was like the life saver number one to Auggie because he was with Auggie all the time like playing with him and sharing food, they were like best friends and when Julian said that auggie was a freak, jack stood up for him and punched him in the face. but before at Halloween he was faking and he only said nice things about Auggie and played with Auggie spent time with auggie … because jack’s mom told him to???????????????? wait what? how could he do that? But eventually auggie got over with it apologizes yeah yeah But at the end it is all happy again YAY!Now onto Julian Julian evil gone Julian( snape, snape, Severus snape ) YAY i’m happy!( DUMBLEDORE!)sorry snape! Julian set a target on august why in the world would you do that?because in fairy tales stories don’t the evil ones always get kicked out and/or die? people still don’t get that? *sigh* and that sigh was from Lillian. Julian was very x1000000 mean to auggie. He said Auggie was a freak and asked Auggie what was wrong with his head, he took his squad and made fun of Auggie’s braid. disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Summer was a good person on Auggie’s side from the beginning and she is also Auggie life saver number two. When the Halloween incident happened she went up to Auggie at lunch time and sat with him. Auggie thought that Summer was another Jack at Halloween but she wasn’t and she played with auggie and was nice. I think the part that made my heart sank was when Jack was Talking behind Auggie’s Back. But what is most important is be nice.:)
In the movie Wonder the boy Auggie Pullman he had a little problem with his face.He goes to a school because he has been homeschooled and when three students are introduced and they try not to stare at Auggie and feel a little awkward. There is a girl who talks a lot and a two boys in the group of students that show Auggie around, one of the boys is named Jack and is really nice and the other boy is not too nice. On the first day of school when the teacher asks the class to tell some things about them. The boy that is really mean to Auggie brags about how he got some kind of video game when Auggie goes he talks about how he likes star wars and the mean boy asks Auggie what his favorite star wars character was and he said what his favorite was and the mean guy purposley said one of the characters lookes like him.Now as the movie goes on he has no friends but soon the boy named Jack wants to be friends with Auggie and he excepts. On Halloween Auggie dresses as ghost face and heres Jack gossiping mean things about him and is hurt.After that Auggie does not talk to Jack.But soon Jack learns what he had said and apologizeses and Auggie excepts. After that Auggie gets a lot of new friends and when he goes to a camp and when all that is over when he comes back he has a lot of more friends. I learned from this movie that it matters more about what’s on the inside than the outside.
I feel that it was really nice of miss long to buy a movie with her own money just for us to watch on pink shirt day! It is great that Auggie has friends to stand up for him like jack, even though he did make fun of him a few times, jack eventually came to his senses and was nicer to him after that event occurred. But then again there are always bullies all over the place…. they could be all around you……but it did happen in the movie that’s why the movie came out, to stop bullying and it doesn’t matter the way you look its what is in the inside kindness, love, and strength is what kept Auggie happy and there were moments when Auggie was depressed or angry at the way he looks, but that wasn’t his fault, he tried to stay happy and guess what? it eventually happened, he has happy and didn’t care about his appearance that much, because well he had friends who supported him in the way he looks. although in school people would stare at him and back off from him, i wonder what they would feel if all their friends would stare at them and then they would know how Auggie feels when people would just walk away from you when you where just walking normally and all of a sudden people just be big jerks towards Auggie. If they knew how Auggie feels when they were just going to school, well they would stop being jerks towards Auggie and they be comforting him about the way he looks. I feel that almost everybody who watched the movie learned that looks dont matter, its just how big your heart is. I hope you learned the same thing as i did.
At the beginning of the movie Auggie is jumping on the bed with his favorite astronaut helmet. He starters talking about how he do’s ordinary things like riding a bike, eating ice cream, watching star wars, and playing Minecraft but his face is unordinary. Auggie been through a lot of surgery’s so he can breathe, see, hear, talk and smell.
His parents start fighting about Auggie being home schooled and that he should go to school. The next day he goes to a new school for grade 5 (because he was home schooled for K, 1, 2, 3 and 4).
Auggie Meets the principal and three kids Jack, Julian, and a girl who’s name I forgot. Julian starts being mean to Auggie about his face when the got to science room. The first day of school arrives and kids start looking at him as if they were staring paintings.
Auggie also has a sister named Via who has a friendship problem. Her friend Miranda came back from a camp and changed. Via had some questions like “why did you die your hair, how long have you been, and I’ve been trying to text you.”
At lunch no one sits with Auggie and when hes in class Julian throws mean notes at him. One day Jack decided to sit with Auggie. They became best friends.
Auggie’s sister Via is looking at a chart for drama class. A boy said “Are you going to sign up”Via said “No”but the boy signed up.
Halloween is here and Auggie lost his favorite astronaut helmet so he went as Scream. Auggie likes Halloween because no one recognize him when hes wearing his Scream mask but when Auggie got in to the class room Jack and Julian were talking about him. “yeah, he just follows me around” says Jack not knowing that Auggie was behind him. Auggie’s feelings were so hurt that he ran out of the room.
At lunch Jack tried to sit with Auggie but he said “No” because his feelings were still hurt. . .
They became friends again by chatting on Minecraft.
. . .Auggie’s parents were waiting for him to get off the bus. They asked how it was and Auggie said “it was amazing.”
