The websites listed below are Educational Resources you can access at home. For the websites we use in class, some may require a username and password. Please refer to the login sheet (purple sheet) that is stored in their planner. There is also a pink sheet with their prodigy account username\/password in their planner as well. Any of the digital resources we use at school, your child is more than welcome to use at home!<\/p>\n
During class I may send emails to the students which contain links to educational resources that we use for lessons and classroom activities. If these links are of any interest to you then please use their email to sign-in and check the links out!<\/p>\n

Educational Resources we use in class:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Email & One Drive login<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Student#@edu.burnabyschools.ca (student # is the school computer username, and email password is school computer password).<\/p>\n –>Go to Aubrey Elementary website, click district links, click outlook, use appropriate username and password.<\/p>\n –> Outlook is connected to not only your Childs email, but also their One Drive which stores their projects!<\/p>\n *Please note that their email is also their One Drive which consists of all their assignments from school. This is where they will access Word Doc and PowerPoint.*<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Math\/LA:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.prodigygame.com\/main-en\/<\/p>\n -This site consists of math\/LA activities\/games and they each have their own sign-in that was put in their planner.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Coding:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/scratch.mit.edu\/accounts\/login\/<\/p>\n –This is a coding site where they can design and code different projects. They all created their own usernames and passwords and it will be added to their login sheets shortly.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Typing<\/b>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This year we will be using All the Right Type, which will be coming soon!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Extra resources for at home use:<\/strong><\/p>\n Typing: <\/strong>https:\/\/www.typing.com\/student\/login<\/p>\n -This is a free website that any child can use and you do not need an account.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Digital policies in Division 5:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n As per our school rule, all phones during the school day must be locked up or put away in students backpacks throughout the school day. My classroom policy is that I lock their phones in my desk throughout the day so they stay safe. If you need to contact your child, please call the office or email me. Along with this, we will be completing many projects throughout the school year which will require technology. If your child wishes to bring their own technology (laptops, iPads), they are more than welcome to! Due to the high number of children bringing their own technology, I cannot specifically monitor the safekeeping of your child’s device. With this being said, your child will always have a safe spot to place their technology which I will provide, or they can safely store it in their backpack. Upon arrival of technology, I will discuss safe storing with your child and trust that they can independently store it when project time is complete. Along with this, your child is expected to follow technology policies which our school adheres to, which has also been thoroughly discussed within our digital literacy and citizenship unit at the start of the year. If problems with technology arise, I will reach out directly to you.
