Final Foodie Friday

We had our final Foodie Friday for this year last Friday.  Many thanks to our chefs Jayden, Cameron, Melissa, Jerry Z. and Abhi for some fabulous work prepping everybody’s favourite… PIZZA! Many thanks as well to our new Save-on Foods up at Willingdon and Kingsway for very generously supporting our last Foodie Friday through some financial help.

There really isn’t a recipe for this particular treat, instead we will give you a list of ingredients that you can prep for everyone to make their own tailor made pizza. All ingredients, as previously mentioned, are available at the new Save-on Foods in the neighbourhood.

Ingredients:

  • Pre-baked pizza shells. We bought ones that were large enough to share between 4 people
  • Pre-made tomato sauce. We mixed this with some plain tomato sauce to be sure we had enough.
  • Shredded or grated mozzarella cheese
  • The following vegetables had to be chopped (pretty small so they cook properly) to be ready to go:
    • red and green peppers
    • mushrooms
    • red onion
    • pineapple
    • ham
    • pepperoni

Method:

  1. Spoon some tomato sauce onto the pizza shell.
  2. Add as many or as few toppings from the above list (or add some different ones!) as you would like.
  3. Cover everything with cheese.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 10 or so minutes, or whatever the instructions are for the pizza shells.
  5. Enjoy with family and/or friends!
