These two activities form the foundation for much of the math that we will continue to work on throughout the year. Students began by exploring repeating patterns. They worked on creating patterns that had a core that repeated at least three times. They created their own increasing patterns with items from nature. Some of them had to work fast before the wind blew away their hard work.
