It is a great opportunity to learn about the music, life, and career of a Canadian artist.<\/p>\n<h1>2019<\/h1>\n<p>Students enthusiastically prepared for this contest and this year, there were 3 entries from our school:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Div. 7 were introduced to the Newfie dialect as they learned <em>I&#8217;se the By<\/em>, a traditional Newfoundland folk song.<\/li>\n<li>Div. 18 students enjoyed pretending to be pirates in Splash&#8217;N Boots&#8217; <em>I&#8217;ll Be the Captain.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>The Capitol Hill Elementary Choir performed <em>Human<\/em> by Twin Flames. Students connected well with the messages of building relationships and celebration of Indigenous languages and cultures in the song.
