Dear Families,
Welcome to February!! Thank you for your enthusiastic participation in Literacy Week. It was so lovely to see so many of you come and read with your child and others during our Family Reading. We also want to congratulate Amrit who’s name was chosen to win the Primary (gr. K-3) prize for the BINGO activity sheet.

February is a very busy month. As well as our routines, and our literacy and numeracy activities, we continue to focus on learning about our families and ourselves. We are doing a lot more printing of letters and sounds and are very excited to write notes and cards to our classmates. This week we did an activity with the word love (a book went home with your child) and finished off the week by painting our very own Love Monster. You can watch the inspiration for our art below.

Important Dates for February:
Tuesday February 14 – Valentines Day – A notice went home on Friday. Please feel free to send Valentine’s Day Cards to school (this is optional.) If you are sending cards, please make sure there is one for every child in the class. There are 18 students and 2 teachers.

Monday February 20 – Family Day No School

Wednesday February 22 – Pink Shirt Day – We will be focusing on being a kind friend and a caring member of the Morley Community. Please wear Pink shirts to school.

Friday February 24 – Professional Day – No School for Students
