All this week we have been investigating English Ivy. We have learned it is an invasive species and it hurts our plants and trees by taking over the forest. So we went outside pulled the Ivy as best as we could from the roots trying not to hurt the other plants around. We then carried it into the classroom to be creative with. Before we could do anything we needed to take the leaves off, there was so much Ivy we all needed to work together so Ms. Huckle could soak it over night. The next day we made crowns, bracelets, necklaces and even birds nests.<\/p>\n
