Arrays and Equal Groups
Here are some practice pages to further explore the concept of equal groups. If your child would like to extend their thinking further they can relate equal groups to multiplication and division.
Exploring Arrays and Multiplication
Here are some templates your child can use to play with the concept of arrays, repeated addition and multiplication. You can use anything small to build arrays. I have also included a multiplication table to complete so that your child can practice their facts and see the pattern when multiplying.
Here is a video that explains how to multiply using arrays. (sorry, it is a bit slow, but simplifies the concept)

Measurement Unit
We will now be starting our measurement unit . Students will focus on understanding units of measurements and how to measure items. For this unit you will need a ruler, string, paperclips, and snap cubes. I have included a cut out of snap cubes your child can use to measure with.
