\u00a0The chill in the air and the leaves on the trees are signalling that it is fall.\u00a0 Bright orange pumpkins lay in fields ready to be chosen.\u00a0 Division 4 had fun doing a painting depicting fall nights.\u00a0 Enjoy the pictures.\u00a0 Click on the picture above!<\/p>\n

Poppies serve as\u00a0\u00a0a \u00a0memorial symbol to the fallen and has come to represent the immeasurable sacrifice made by soldiers\u00a0who died in World War One and later conflicts.\u00a0 Division 4 painted these important symbols and talked about words that depict war.\u00a0 Here\u00a0are their paintings: the gray background represents the “darkness”, the chaos of\u00a0war\u00a0and the splattering of white and the vibrant red poppy\u00a0signifies the “lightness”, the hope that is captured because of so much sacrifice.\u00a0 They are beautiful.\u00a0 Click on the photo!<\/p>\n

\u00a0Division 5 2014-2015 Art Below<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fall is always a colourful season.\u00a0 So many children and adults cannot help admiring the rich tones of the leaves at this time of year.\u00a0 Some cannot resist piling up the scattered leaves just to jump in it!\u00a0 Hope you had a chance to do that this fall!\u00a0 Here are Division 5’s beautiful fall paintings.<\/a><\/p>\n

November 11 is a very important day.\u00a0 The students and I had a very deep discussion about this day and were able to learn a lot from our Remembrance DAy assembly.\u00a0 Students created Peace Dove art<\/a>.\u00a0 They were asked to\u00a0 think about “light” words and “dark” words to explain what war meant to them.<\/p>\n

Division 5 2015-2016 ARTWORK Below!<\/p>\n

October is one of my favorite months!\u00a0 Besides being able to celebrate my birthday, we have a day to give thanks and a day we can be someone or something else!\u00a0 The students created fall paintings….little pictures to represent fall.\u00a0 Here they are!<\/p>\n

Division 5’s Ted Harrison artwork is just visually stunning.\u00a0 The boys and girls learned to create beautiful landscapes of our North and depicting scenes of Inuit life by replicating some of Ted Harrison’s most famous works.\u00a0 Also, enjoy some photos of the kids working on their Stop Motion Projects using iPads that are about Aboriginal culture and their beliefs.<\/p>\n
