Sing Gently

The Virtual Choir is a global phenomenon that brings together singers from around the world and their love of music through the use of technology. Grammy-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre created the very first Virtual Choir in 2009. I’ve participated in a few of his wonderful projects, including Virtual Choir 6: Sing Gently in 2020.

The video’s visual metaphor is inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. The flaw is seen as a unique piece if the object’s history, which adds to its beauty. This stunning work of art features 17,572 singers from 129 countries bonding together in song and spirit.
