Activities for the last two months. See how and what we learn!
With our discussions about families, we graphed family members.
Using black pens we drew our families. Many books and discussions took place.
We used drums as part of learning about orange Shirt Day.
We read this story. It is written by a First Nations, author.
We did lots of experiments using bread in different situations to show the importance of hand washing. As each child learnt to properly was their hands, they received a star! the whole class made it!
After reading about Japan’s fan-our author, Kusama, the children drew, painted and added lines and dots.
We also made pumpkins using shading techniques to capture the reflections of the moon and stars. We also painted jars to honour Diwali.
We tried to sink and make structures using pumpkins of varying sizes.
Using various materials, the children were asked to choose the colour of their masks and then try to make patterns using various items. patterning is a math activity.
Each day we read. This was the class reading big books together.
