May 26th – 5th round of activities (Gr. 1/2)
- Echo sing the patterns you hear with the following link. Select the “La-Sol-Mi” or “Sol-Mi-Do” tab first: https://musicplayonline.com/solfa-practice-echo-sing/
- Draw on a piece of paper a pattern of ta, ti-ti, and za symbols. Submit a recording showing the written pattern with yourself playing the pattern with body percussion (e.g. claps, pats) or with an instrument or object that you have at home.
- Imagine you are in a particular place where you would hear lots of particular sounds (e.g. in the city; in a forest with sounds of birds and leaves rusting). Recreate the sounds that you might hear using objects that you have at home. Write down your sounds and the instruments/objects you used to recreate the sounds, or if possible send a recording of yourself making the sounds and say what each sound is supposed to be.
- Complete any previously posted activities that you have not yet done.
How to submit work
Please submit work through one of the following three methods:
- Comment on any of the blog posts (if comments are to show on the blog site I have to ‘approve’ them, so I can just not approve your comment and view the work at my end).
- Email it to me at adrian.clift@burnabyschools.ca
- For large file submissions add them to Google Drive and invite Mr. Clift through the ‘share’ option.
- Also for large file submissions, Mr. Clift can add you to a Microsoft Team where you can upload the file in the “Assignments” tab.
If you need assistance with submitting work please email me at Adrian.clift@burnabyschools.ca
