When we foster growth mindset, we believe that we can improve our skills with work, practice and perseverance. We recognize that it is okay to not know how to do something, yet. When tasks are new or difficult, we encourage children to take a break or ask for support before trying again.\u00a0 It is important to model that everyone, adults and children, have the potential and necessity to learn new things and how we can view these situations as opportunities for growth.<\/p>\n<p>Students noted that:<\/p>\n<p>JT: It\u2019s too difficult, you can try again and you try your best and use your brain to try again.<\/p>\n<p>RB: It\u2019s hard to do it because you never try practice it.<\/p>\n<p>LB: You have to practice, I practice pumpkins at home. Nobody get mad when I try.<\/p>\n<p>MC: If we\u2019re frustrated, we can take a breath.<\/p>\n<p>AC: You can ask one of the friend to help.<\/p>\n<p>AK: If we don\u2019t know how to do it, ask the teacher or ask your friends.<\/p>\n<p>DF: I know a song that can help, \u201cTry everything!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SK: Nobody knows how to do everything!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are you OK at?
