Hello to the Twelfth Avenue School community!

This music blog will be our way of staying in touch while we are learning from home.  You will find all sorts of ideas here to spark your music learning while we are social distancing.

• New posts will appear on this page at the beginning of every week. I will be filling this page with all sorts of prompts and I invite you to read the articles, listen to some music, watch a video, try an activity, and if you’d like, share your thinking and learning with me at Shawnessy.Chastko@burnabyschools.ca.
• At the same time, there will be new grade specific lessons posted at the beginning of each week in LEARNING FROM HOME. Check out the lessons posted there and do what you can.
  • Students in Divisions 1 to 7 can share their learning through TEAMS.
  • Students in Divisions 8 to 13 can share their learning through my email.

Please remember that learning takes patience and time, so do only what works for you. If you can do some lessons but not others, that’s fine. I look forward to being a part of whatever music learning is happening for you, so do share it with me. My hope is to hear from each of you as often as you can. Keep checking back for regular updates on the music blog.
