Although it took a little more time to organize the classes, the start up of our year has been wonderful. I am excited about getting to know your children and being a part of their social and academic learning journeys this year. I can already tell that they are wonderful people.

This is my second year blogging. It is a great way to share with you the activities and learnings that are going on in our classroom. My greatest hope is that it will allow you and your child to engage in more discussions around school. Your child will also be creating and using their own blog. Their blogs are controlled by the district and private to you, your child and myself. Over the course of the year they will be using their blogs to showcase and reflect on their learning. From my experience last year, I can’t think of a better way for students to communicate their learning and develop ownership of it. Blogs will be discussed in more detail at the Parent’s as Partners sessions.
