Therefore, it is increasingly important for our overall mental health that we bring attention to <strong>Gratitude<\/strong>, <em>our ability to recognize what is good in our lives and being thankful for these things.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There has been a lot of research done on the strong connection between regular practices of gratitude and overall mental health.\u00a0 In fact, recent scientific studies showed regular practices of gratitude were found to benefit multiple areas of o<span style=\"font-family: Spartan;\">ne&#8217;s health, including one&#8217;s mental health, physical health and our ability to interact socially in a positive way.\u00a0 Moreover, when explorations of gratitude are done in a group setting they can promote connection between individuals, as well as feelings of empathy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/andersons\/files\/2020\/11\/How_Gratitude_Supports_Health.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-279\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-279 \" src=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/andersons\/files\/2020\/11\/How_Gratitude_Supports_Health.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"398\" height=\"606\" srcset=\"http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/andersons\/files\/2020\/11\/How_Gratitude_Supports_Health.jpg 315w, http:\/\/sd41blogs.ca\/andersons\/files\/2020\/11\/How_Gratitude_Supports_Health-197x300.jpg 197w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gratitude journals are an excellent way of engaging with this practice.
