This week we began working on place value in Math, and started studying the digestive system in Science.
In French, we learned body part nouns and adjectives, and created an imaginary creature to describe them with. We will be using these imaginary animals/creatures as models for a project in Science that will compliment our learning of the human body.
We began some silly sentence starters using our knowledge of nouns (subjects), verbs (actions) and prepositions.
On Wednesday, we had our first Restorative Justice session with Kaylie, our facilitator. We played some group-bonding games. We will be having 1 hour of Restorative Justice every week, to learn about reducing and resolving conflict.
In Art, we began dynamic self-portraits inspired by the works of Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald. These are coming along nicely!
We attended our first Young Peoples Concert of the year. The performers were a Burnaby-based dance group called Grupo America!
Please remember Monday is a statutory holiday, and so there will be no school. Have a wonderful long weekend!
